This series has a bit of a YA feel to it but I thoroughly enjoy it anyway.

They do learn bits and pieces during each of the battle scenes, so there is a growth and development of the plot in general, but these incremental bits don’t 1 develop the depth of the converrgence much if at all 2 develop the depth of the world much or 3 give you any hope that the end of the plot will ever arrive until the author decides that he’s tired of writing books about this war.
