When I first saw this book I was surprised to see that it looked rather thin, though I was soon impressed by the large format of the pages and the wealth of text inside.


The lowest-priced, brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging where packaging is applicable. Illustrations are really nice, well drawn and clear.

Small in page numbers at 34 pages — it is a fairly considerable amount of information which has been crammed into those pages. Armies of Germany provides Bolt Action players with all of the information you need to field the military forces of Germany. No space has been skimped on, as even the inside rear cover provides extra information on general aspects of German uniform production and usage. I like the ger,an here that shows you the information on one page and the soldier illustrated on the other — you can read about the picture as you look at the artwork, you do not have to turn the page around or flick back to the end of the book and look up a key. The superb colour artwork plates show combat germxn in their various service uniforms; field grey models, summer, tropical, winter, camouflage uniforms, their personal equipment and uniform insignia which is all in unrivalled detail; with accompanying in depth text of when items were first issued and seen in the frontline.

This is now my companion whenever I am trying to work out what a soldier is wearing in a sculpture or artwork. I very much look forward to more to come!
